ShapeStats

ShapeStats

Measure and track your body. Tape measurements, caliper skinfolds and weight, for yourself or for everyone you train — and how each one changes over time. No ads.

Tape and caliper

Eleven circumference points, and body fat from skinfolds with Jackson & Pollock 3 and 7-site or Durnin & Womersley.

One app, many people

Keep a separate profile for each person you measure — built for trainers and nutritionists as much as for yourself.

History that reads

A chart and a table for every measure, in centimetres or inches, kilograms or pounds — whichever you choose.

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the ShapeStats mobile application (the "Application"), created by Itzack Devops (the "Service Provider", "we"), collects, uses, stores and deletes your information. The Service Provider — Isaac Moreira Barreto, CNPJ 44.461.658/0001-76, Av. Dom Luis, 880, S 506, Aldeota, Fortaleza - CE, 60160-196, Brazil — is the controller of the personal data described here. By creating an account you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your email address and name, the way you sign in (email and password, or Google) and, if you sign in with Google, your profile photo address. Used to identify you and keep your data yours.
  • Measurement profiles — for each person you measure: a name, date of birth, sex (male, female or other), height and weight. Age and sex are required by the body-fat formulas.
  • Measurements — weight with its date and time; tape circumferences (neck, shoulders, chest, waist, hips, arms, thighs, calves); caliper skinfolds, the method used and the resulting body-fat estimate.
  • Preferences — your length and mass units, stored with your account. Theme and language are stored only on your device.
  • Usage data and crash reports — unless you turn them off: which screens you open and which actions you take, and technical details when the Application crashes. See Usage data and crash reports below.

Measurements and body-fat estimates are health-related data, which Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) treats as sensitive personal data. We process them only on the basis of your consent, given when you create an account and enter them, and only to show them back to you.

The Application does not access your location, contacts, camera, photos, microphone or body sensors, does not show ads, and does not use an advertising identifier.

People you measure

A measurement profile can belong to someone other than you — a client, a student or a family member. If you record someone else's measurements, you are responsible for having their permission to do so, and, for a minor, the permission of their parent or legal guardian. The person measured can ask you, or us, to have their data deleted.

How we use your information

Only to run the Application: to sign you in, to store your profiles and measurements and sync them across your devices, to calculate body-fat estimates and the changes between measurements, and to protect your account; and, unless you turn it off, to understand how the Application is used and to fix crashes. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to profile you.

Usage data and crash reports

To find out which features are used and to fix errors, the Application uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. They receive:

  • Actions — for example "a tape session with 8 points was saved", "a Jackson & Pollock 3-site caliper session was saved", "a weigh-in was logged for an earlier day", "the History chart was opened for waist", "the units were changed", and which screens were opened.
  • Crash reports — what the Application was doing when it failed, and the technical error.
  • Device and app details — device model, operating system and version, app version, language, approximate country (derived from the IP address, which is not stored), and a random identifier for this installation.

They never receive your measurements, your body-fat results, the names or details of the people you measure, your email or your name. This data is not linked to your account, is not used for advertising, and Google processes it on our behalf. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the Application working and improving it (LGPD art. 7, IX).

It is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Send usage data and crash reports; from then on nothing is sent. Usage data is kept for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days, after which Google deletes them. Because it is not linked to your account, deleting your account does not delete it; it expires on that schedule.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored by Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which processes it on our behalf. Google's servers may be located outside your country, including in the United States; Google applies its own safeguards to these transfers. A copy is also kept on your device so the Application works offline. Google may process technical data such as your IP address to provide sign-in and security.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. In the Application you can delete a single record, a whole measurement profile with all its measurements, or your entire account. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, every measurement profile, every measurement and your synced preferences. See Delete your account for how to do it with or without the Application.

Your rights

Under the LGPD and similar laws you can ask us to confirm whether we hold your data, give you access to it, correct it, give you a copy in a machine-readable format, tell you who it is shared with, and delete it; and you can withdraw your consent at any time, which means deleting the data that depends on it. Most of this you can do yourself in the Application. For anything else, email us from the address on your account; we answer within 15 days.

Children

Accounts are intended for people aged 16 and over. Users aged 16 or 17 may create and use an account only with the authorization of their parent or legal guardian. The Application is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly create accounts for them; if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will delete it and its data. Measurements of a minor may be recorded only by, or with the permission of, their parent or legal guardian.

Security

Your data can only be read by your own signed-in account: access is enforced by Firebase's authentication and database rules, and data travels encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the Application and reflected in the effective date above.

Terms & Conditions

Effective date: October 21, 2026

Acceptance

By downloading, accessing or using ShapeStats (the "Application"), provided by Itzack Devops (the "Service Provider"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.

Not medical advice

The Application records measurements and calculates body-fat estimates from published formulas (Jackson & Pollock, Durnin & Womersley). These estimates have a margin of error and depend on how the measurements were taken. The Application is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Talk to a qualified health professional before making decisions about your health, diet or training.

The service

The Application is currently free of charge. We may introduce paid features in the future; anything that changes for existing users will be announced in advance. The Application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and we may add, change or discontinue features.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are 16 or 17, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has authorized you to use the Application and has agreed to these Terms. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for all activity under your account.

Data about other people

If you record measurements of anyone other than yourself, you confirm that you have their permission — or, for a minor, the permission of their parent or legal guardian — and you will delete their data if they ask.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Application for any unlawful purpose, to disrupt or overload the service, or to attempt to access data that is not yours.

Your content

You keep ownership of the data you enter. You grant the Service Provider only the rights needed to store, process and display it back to you in order to run the Application.

Termination

You can stop using the Application and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the Application, including decisions made on the basis of its estimates.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil.

Delete your ShapeStats account

You can delete your ShapeStats account, developed by Itzack Devops, and all the data associated with it, either in the app or by email if you no longer have the app.

In the app

  1. Open ShapeStats and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Tap Settings and scroll to Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and type your email address to confirm.
  4. Confirm with your password, or with Google if you signed in with Google.

The deletion happens immediately.

Without the app

Send an email to itzackdevops@gmail.com from the email address of your ShapeStats account, with the subject "ShapeStats — delete my account". Sending it from that address is how we confirm the account is yours. We delete the account and reply to confirm within 15 days.

What is deleted

  • Your account (email, name, sign-in method and profile photo address).
  • Every measurement profile, and every weight, tape and caliper record in them.
  • Your synced preferences (units).

Nothing is kept afterwards. Copies in our provider's internal backups expire on their own and are not restored. Data stored on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app.

Deleting some data only

To delete part of your data without closing your account, use the app: open a record and tap Delete, or remove a whole measurement profile — with all its measurements — from Profile → Measurement Profiles. If you no longer have the app, email us as above and say what you want removed.
